Nippa's Weight Loss - before and after

As requested by Corinowalk.

I have owned my Nippa for 9 or 10 months now. When I brought him home he was more than a little on the chunky side. He was obese!

So over the course of the time I have owned him his diet has been adjusted. He has been kept in a dry lot, being fed approximately 1% of his bodyweight in oaten hay a day, as well as a mineral supplement and the occasional treat of some chaff.

He has been shedding the kilos slowly but surely, until he has finally reached a point where I am happy with his weight. He now gets a small (tiny) maintenance feed each day of some chaff, lupins & speedi-beet in order to keep him where he is now.

Without further ado - photos!

Shortly after I first brought him home

About half way through

And now!

Scratching his butt

I thought I had more progression photos, but those are about it.

I just think the transformation is incredible. I have first hand knowledge on how hard it can be to get weight off...especially when you are trying to do it with diet alone. You did such a great job with him(?)! I just wanted to make sure you got proper credit for a job well done.

The other thing I noticed...his feet look like they survived! He lost the founder stance! His little feet actually look to be in pretty good shape. That is a miracle in itself.

Thank you again. It certainly hasn't been a quick transformation, it's not until you see photos side by side that you realise just how different he looks now!

Founder was a real concern for me. Not only due to the obvious weight issues, but because we couldn't catch him for so long his feet were way too long in the toe when he had his first trim with us. Surprisingly, his feet have shown no signs of any damage at all. It's an absolute miracle!
