The ponies are little pasture puffs for the most part. Pistol the pony on the left gets used quite a bit (not for riding but handled by the boys to teach them as well), Blossom on the other hand is just allowed to be a horse. Major, MAJOR fear issues there on her part.

Phoenix, fat appy on the left, and Callie the paint mare, are both used as my trail horses and used for me to give kids rides around the yard. Chandy the palomino appy in the middle is my oldest son's mare and right now we're working him up to riding.

Now having said that, I don't get out to ride as often as I like as I am usually by myself. So when I ride Callie gets ridden more often as I can just relax where Phoenix is a "ZOMG WHAT WAS THAT?! Can we run now? OMG that leaf MOVED! Must teleport sideways." << her, not me. Riding her is definitely fun, but it's also a lot more work.

So, the update: we changed feed back over. Low weight horse has been eating less. She fed this morning and told me "she doesn't like the feed. " Then, she fed ger sweet feed and told me when I got here, "she chowed it down. She was hungry." Today I am tired of the food battle and I just want my horses (all of them) home. 4 month colt has not nused in almost 2 weeks. How soon can I bring her home without him?

While I'm thinking of it, the equine nutritionist did agree the sweet feed should be replaced. I wasnt there for the conversation (grrrrr) but that part of the discussion was passed on.

These are only two of my five and you can see they aren't skinny.

    The herd -

The above pic were all taken within the last couple of weeks.
My neighbor threw out a 1200 bale and two of his pounded it down in 4 days......
