Opinions on Triple Crown

So, winter is here and I am looking for a way to cut down on feed costs without cutting down on nutrition.. My neighbors have recently opened a new feed store that carries Triple Crown feeds.. Now, I currently feed a local mix from the feed store that I have been buying from. It is forage based and basically a RB. My horse is an easy keeper. He has eaten his grass down in his paddock so there really isn't anything there for him and so he gets a flake of hay in the morning and 2 flakes at night plus 1.5 pound of feed and 1 cup of BOSS. He maintains his weight with light work on this feed schedule. He has been on this for 2 months now. He is not a lean horse lol But anyway, my neighbor says he can beat any price of my current feed dealer, so I was wondering what y'all thought of the Triple Crown feeds. I am looking at the Senior purely because it is closest as far as ingredients go to my current feed, which by the way is not a senior feed. Any opinions would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Is this a southern states ? I use there store brand of reliance. I havent heard any complaints about Triple Crown feeds. Alot of people in my area use it as Southern States stores stock it and it is quite a bit cheaper than Purina products.

Buit based on your description of your situaltion I would say thay horse could use less feed and more hay, SOunds liek all he is getting is 1/3rd a small bale a day with no other fiber ? Not really enough IMHO. The feed is keeping weight on but your going to end up with gut problems.

I love triple crown senior, all 2 of my horses are on it and they do great, my easy keeper gets minimal amounts(about 1/4-1/2lbs) with a vitamin supplement, my TB who is ulcer prone gets about 6lbs/day and my old guy gets about 10lbs/day
