people foods that you give your horses ~fun thread~

Hey guys!
I just thought it would be fun to make a thread about the human foods that you give to your horses! I mean other than carrots and apples.

This may be a fun topic, but I sense that there could be some drama if someone says something that you don't think should be given to horses. If something like that happens, you can tell them that (check your facts) but NO DRAMA!! Tell them, they answer and if you want to say something after that then either keep the thoughts to yourself or pm them because I don't want this to become out of hand and I don't want anyone to be offended that they aren't taking care of their horse properly. Okey-dokey?

For me I sometimes give Cheyenne
Bananas
Molasses
Sugar cubes
Corn husks
Minute maid oats (not too much of it though)
Bran
Honey
Syrup
And sometimes other things that aren't on my mind right now

What do you give your horses?

Vinnie LOVES bananas!
I've been buying mini-bananas, just because they're cute! He eats the peel and all :)

Watermelon

Nature valley bars
Peppermints
Ice!

My mare has an iron stomach. I swear, it's the like the kid with a good immune system because he played in dirt his whole life. She's eaten so much garbage, she'll NEVER colic!

Zierra will eat practically anything. Her major loves are sweet and sour candies (sour patch, sour keys, etc.), she'll practically maul you for the package, junior mints and soda out of the bottle. She's learned how to grab the bottle neck in her teeth and have me tip it for her. She also knows how to grab the edge of cups for minimal wastage. She also loves butter ripple schnapps but we try to limit that, LOL.

My grandpa actually screwed up a double batch of ginger snap cookies once and fed her half the DOUGH. I FREAKED so hard. I don't know what he was thinking, but she was fine.

You also have to watch her with kids because she'll steal their candy. At a pony club function, some poor unsuspecting child tried to pet her with an Aero bar in his hand and got jacked.

My horse, Milo, really enjoys suckers. He'll bite them off and leave me with the stick.

Step one: Mount horse. Step two: Stay mounted.
