At the moment, he's fed mostly hay (pasture is in winter drudge), but also gets a quart of Timothy Balance cubes to hide his vitamin/mineral supplement and Bugcheck. Because of the choke and the fact these are cubes, I thoroughly soak his meals. This is a bit of a pain, as they have to soak for quite a while, so I essentially soak for hours in the fridge.
I'm considering switching him to bagged forage, like Triple Crown Safe Starch, but I've never fed the stuff before so don't know much about it. Does it hold supplements well? Does it hold them well if wet? Is it safe for horses that have choked? Pros and cons?
