Quick question about Max-i-glow rice bran

I'm adding fortified rice bran to my horse's feed and I don't have a scale, so I'm wondering what size scoop is a .5 lb of rice bran? Or what size cup, if that's a better measurement. Thanks!

I've measured it and one pound of the PELLETED max-e-glo rice bran is about 1 1/2 quarts :) so .5 lb would be about 3/4 of a quart. Not sure about the meal- I've never fed it.
