Round Bale Feeders

Has anyone ever made a homemade round bale feeder? I was thinking of doing that since I don't have the money to buy a metal one. If you have pictures that be great to :) It would have to work for minis too.

You can build a wood frame from 2x4's then fill in the sides with vertical 1x4s, 1x6 if you have scrap. For horses the spacing between the boards is 4". It would be smaller for minis. I have this type and find far less waste than a round feeder. You may want to build it so it will hold a square bale. A friend built an elevated one for his horses so they couldn't reach in over the top.

Thanks for asking this question. Saddlebag that is a good idea. We only feed square bales but im getting a lot of waste from them because of the rain.
