    I bought some mats when I was in So Ca, & brought them w/me when I moved to AZ. I put 2 large mats in each corral so they would not be eating on the ground. My gelding had a large high-sided tub to eat out of, so very little spilled. My mare had a short tub-I soaked the hay w/ a gallon or so of water and I kept the sand off the mats also. That helped a lot.
