Someone is covering their BUTT!!

After getting numerous bags of molded Safe Choice feed at TSC, my daughter had been working with her local rep. Of Nutrena. The representative called her on Wednesday, telling her they were closing their case, because the 3 TSC we had all bought at, said they had not sold, nor had returned, any moldy Safe Choice feed!!! Luckily, we all had our receipts, showing we had returned the moldy feed back to those 3 stores. So, who's lying TSC or Nutrena?
We have now switched to Strategy.

Which type of Strategy do you feed? I'm feeding Gx right now.

I'm not seeing any nutrena feeds in my tractor supply now. I've given up.

They are always out of one thing or another and the new store manager has just made it all around an unpleasant trip. The help is all nervous and tense.

The moldy nutrena I got was just one bag and tractor supply did immediately refund me. I would have taken another bag but they all were moldy. Not just a little funky either, more like the bags got soaked. Most of the pellets had fallen apart.

I ran in there last night to grab some wood pellets for the stove and the bag I grabbed had water on it. Inside and it hasn't rained in over a week. This is a big steel building...condensation from the ceiling I suspect. May very well be what is happening to the feed.

I am feeding GX as well. Both of my boys definitely thrive on it, it keeps weight on them and doesn't make any difference in their character/personality at all. Where I live it's around $17/bag and it will go on sale occasionally for $15. I figure with what it does for my guys, you can't beat the price. One of them has been on it since February, my new gelding has been eating it since July and I haven't had any complaints. I get it from Tractor Supply and haven't had a bad bag yet; I've probably bought around 20 bags total.

For reference, I have an OTTB and Arab, so both can get hot very easily on certain feeds.

NSC is too high in Strategy for mine. They would explode.

Try the Strategy Healthy Edge. 17% NSC vs.28 of the GX. That's even lower than the Safe Choice original. Plus, I never had problems with Purina feeds at TSC

TSC, of course. I'd call Nutrena again, not that Rep, but the supervisor. Having the copies of the returns handy. With a cc to TSC corporate. I wish I had my receipts, I'd jump right in with you.
