Question Thoughts and feedback on red cell supplement?

I was suggested to use this on my boy who is a kind of a hard keeper, he stresses out easily but internalizes everything so sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on.

Also of you know this winter has been hard, been sick with colds and pneumonia, but has been back on track with no coughing, no dishcarge sneezing, weariness for about two and half months now.

He is on dyna pro immune defense that has helped him so much!
Recently just left my training barn due to many reasons but main one bing my trainer with held his immune supliment for complete unknown reasons and in two and half weeks he lost about 60-80 pounds to where I could feel and count all his ribs, his flanks were sunken in, and his muscle dropped in his neck and hind end.

So whatvis your feeling on this supplement?
He is soon to be 24/7 turnout large space with run in shed and lots of hay! Very little grain (purina healthy edge, 2pounds daily for getting his weight up too)

Is the purina daily edge a high fat product? Add some corn oil, there is also a product made from coconuts, I think its called cool fuel, and will add weight without the 'high'. Also a vitamin could help. My horses don't eat "red cell" they spit it out.. they gobble the feed with the corn oil.
