Trying to put weight on a mare while weaning

I am trying to put weight on my 12 year old appendix QH mare. Due to earning a spot to provincial gymkhana finals, I weaned her 5 1/2 month foal last night so that she'd be dried up by finals, which is Sept 31st-Oct 2nd.
I feel that she needs some weight and would like to hear opinions or stories from some of you guys. Normally, when I wean foals I cut right back on the mare's grain as I want to help them dry out. In this case, I am also trying to add weight, which I haven't had to do before.
I am currently feeding her Front Runner - Phase One, with canola oil, pasture 24/7 and free choice salt & minerals.
Any suggestions will be considered.

Normally I would suggest Rice Bran, but since she was just weaned from her foal, I would use Beet Pulp, it isn't really a grain, and has quite a bit of fiber in it, which should help her gain weight.
