Talking Widow Maker rehab after 10 months!

This is Apollo! He raced FIVE days before the first photos. He has ulcers but is now on U-Gard twice daily and it has made an AMAZING difference! He is a happy happy boy!

Thanks! I am very fortunate to have gotten a grey STB. They are one of the rarest colors. He is a horse by Tulane (a grey) and his grandsire is the late great Admiral's Galley (also a grey). The person who bought him from California paid $100,000 for him. He won about $113,000 in his career. Sad he had to end up so thin and frail

He is a very happy horse now
Well done!
The gray comes from Orlow Trotters, I was told. A lot of them are in Finland. In eight years I was at a trotting barn in Italy I saw only two grey's.

Congratulations on the great job you have done with him.
It is unbelievable that in his condition he was raced.
Poor guy was even harnessed up with sores and swelling under the harness.

What are you going to do with that fireball?

He is now a riding horse! And those aren't sores. He has mottled skin like an Appy :)

It sure looks as if the hair has been rubbed away, and in the photo with the pedegree under it looks as if there is swelling.

I hope you both have lots of years together.

Will your horse go back to trotting under saddle?
