1st ride on Aidan

I finally got to ride my new horse in an unrushed, relaxed time frame on sunday. I woke up nice and early to beat the heat and had the hubby take a few pics.
Its funny riding two very different horses. Aidan is so different than Cooper. Aidan has a bit of that pony "i wanna do what i wanna do" attitude but i was able to control him. When i was walking him out, i let him go towards the back of the house which is where he kept trying to during the ride, and got a HUGE 2 side stepped spook next to the bush he had been trying to get to. duuuuhhh I bet he wont be pulling that again Oh, and he has a bad habit of head shaking, which i know he prefers light hands. But if you ignore my leg, im using the rein, so you'll see in one of the pics he's tryna shake me off

Sorry the pics are so big! It'll take some time for us to learn eachother, but hes such an awesome pony, im in <3

He's super cute! Didn't you say he also walked off upon mounting in another post? How did that go? Congrats on your new man!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift-that's why it's called the present.

He didnt move!!. It's funny, i forgot up until the moment i pulled my stirrups down. Then a light went off in my head and i remembered "Oh yea, this is going to be a training lesson" took a deep breath and walked to the mounting block. I layed myself over him, had one foot in the stirrup, pushed a little on his back, swung my leg over nice and slowly and sat there. He did not move! It was quite a nice surprise. I was also told her can't be caught without carrots, i have yet to go catch him with a treat and he walks right up to me.

Looks like you had a great morning! Great looking boy, too. And high five that your husband came out to take pics of ya! I think I only have like 1 or 2 pics of me riding - ever!

Horses are God's apology for men.
