So..it was really nice today and I didn't work, but I couldn't ride because the vet was up yesterday and the majority of the horses got their teeth done and chiro. If they got chiro, they were also give two days off work, so no riding for anyone. I couldn't waste an entire nice day, so we just went for a walk. It was probably half a mile down the road, then turned around.
It went well for the most part. When we were leaving, her friends were calling for her, she only looked back once and then kept going. Halfway down, she started getting scared by her own shadow and the water in the ditch from snow melting. Cars that drove by? Nope. Water and a shadow. So she would stop and throw her head up like some kind of watchdog. Silly girl.
Also, she's a Paint, but the only visible markings she really inherited from her mom is sclera, so she looks terrified and/or some poor tortured beast all the time. If she actually is scared, there is notably more white. She's a spazz.
Annnd after our walk, I let her go into her pen to eat supper. The pictures from a low angle, I sat on a flake of hay. I don't mind smelly horse poo muck stuff, but I am certainly not going to sit in it. :P
"Oh, I see you have a camera. Allow me to sniff it." I do love this picture. She actually looks cute.
She has the funniest little spot on her nose. I thought it was dirt for months until I tried to rub it off one day. I also appreciate that she has one black nostril and one white.
SCLERA!
She has to tear apart her hay, one flake at a time, then flip the pieces all over and eat what's left at the very bottom.
Smash the hayyy!
Omnomnomnom.
