The actual story of Molly, just had to share :P(Pics)

Here goes... (:

My big sister was hitchhiking and a guy that was a selling dude for a horse feed, had a mare that was abandoned on his property after the girl ran away not paying heaps of rent money. He raced and trained racehorses, and Laura told him I was looking for a horse. He said he's giving Molly away for free-BUT-he knew nothing of her history except that she was most likely an ex racehorse, she was 8, and had big scars on her legs. (Didn't effect her movement at all) From unknown homes. She was in a muddy paddock and had no paddock mates.

When we finally got in touch, we drove to see her. When we walked in I could see a beautiful bay head with a tiny little star over the fence. She whinnied at the top of her lounges and I ran to see her

And of course, mum gave in. Molly was mine.

A week or so later we caught Molly and it was a horror getting her on the float. John made it the worst experience possible for her, but swearing and being abusive to her. But eventually we got there.
She was over whelmed to see all the horses around and when we let her go she jumped for joy and went psycho (: We waited 6 weeks to get the saddle on and since then, we've bonded quite well. Obviously at the start there were trust issues, but we got there.

I've tried to lead her on the road twice, but I was in tears of frustration! One day we'll work more on that, but for now, she's my round-the-paddock plodder, lol.

So there's not going to be any shows, pony club or exciting stuff, but I suppose ill live(: My excuse is that as she gets older and I get more confident, we'll maybe get to the beach or a show. But im still worried if I ever have to float her for serious reasons, whats going to happen But for now, I suppose everything's OK.

Here she is:(A month or so ago)

Thanks heaps for reading, please comment!

Aww that's such a cute story. Similar to mine with my boy, in a way.

I thought that most track horses were used to trailers.

She's gorgeous.

Me too! She must have just been scared of the narrow space, lol, I don't know.. I think if another horse goes on and she's in a wider space (truck) and she's got food she'll be right(:

Thanks! If that's your pinto, he's gorgeous!!!
