Allard Van De Thijenkaampe

This is "my" new horse. I'm leasing this horse from someone in Wisconsin till December. The same girl who owned a horse named Hylke I used to post here. This horse has taken Hylke's place and Hylke has moved onto an excellent forever home that wanted a senior Friesian for her son to grow up with.

So this is Allard. I've only had him since Wednesday. These photos were taken Thursday.

My boyfriend said he looks like a "girl horse", lol. He has a very pretty face. Allard, not the boyfriend.

His feathers were shaved off in November to treat a fungal infection he had under them. So I hope MTG will help grow 'em out faster.

Willow is the mare on the left, and her two pals. They are up higher than Allard.

Watching me from his stall. He's got beautiful eyes.

That's all for now.

Oh, hello beautiful.

He's drop dead gorgeous! Congrats! I think you should just get it over with and buy one of these beasties yourself. ;]

I give myself very good advice, But I very seldom follow it

When I have a spare 15 grand I will. ;)

I will have one sooner or later. It'll be a colt though, I want to raise it myself. Geld it when I'm ready and have myself a fancy trail horse. Haha. For now I'll just be content playing with them for free, lol.

Handsome handsome boy! Does he have a little star on the side of his forehead? I can see a little white mark in the last picture.

He is a lovely boy! Sorry to hear you wont have Hylke anymore, you seemed quite fond of him, but congrats on the new guy! So you have him in free lease? How did you manage to find such an amazing deal????

Lucky you, he is gorgeous!!! Love those soft eyes, he looks like a gentle soul. He does look a bit feminine, but then, so does my gelding, lol. He is constantly getting referred to as "she" and I get comments like, "She's so pretty!" I even hogged his mane to make him look more manly, and while in the process of doing this someone rode past and commented on what a pretty girl he was. *Sigh* I've given up, I just smile and say thanks.

Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail...

Not a star but a bit of gray hair. As Friesians age they get gray hair in their faces mostly in the forehead. He's ten and already starting to get some. :) I love it though.

I loved Hylke a ton but he was a lease too, I knew what I was getting into and since he's with a great lady and will be very happy I can't ask for me.

The lease come from a gal I met online actually. She had Hylke but couldn't afford to keep care of him so he moved from Wisconsin to Indiana to stay with me but still belong to her. Now it's the same deal with Allard.

Hehe, I'm going to try to make Allard to look as manly as possible! No pink anything.
