    American Cream horses are the only breed of draft developed in the US. They were developed in Iowa and Minnesota. They are critically endangered- only about 300 horses are in the registry, and a large number of those are geldings.

    They are not palomino. They are cream. They have dark skin, pale cream coat, and in order to register a stallion they must have amber gold eyes. Mares are allowed to have brown eyes like this fellow.

    I for one am so grateful to the Minnesota Zoo for offering space to these lovely horses. They have helped bring the breed back into the public eye and hopefully, to stave off it's extinction.

    I was blessed for 7 years with an American Cream. He was my soulmate. These horses are incredible... and I will never find another like mine. I'm hoping that someday I will be able to find another Cream to add to my farm.
