Absolutely :) I rode a cutting horse for the first time on a flag about 3 years ago...and was hooked. I brainstormed every way possible I could start doing it! It is the most addictive, adrenaline rush ever :)

Looks like you are standing up in your saddle and pulling yourself towards the horn in the first pic. Doesn't this make it harder to sit while cutting? Long with harder for your horse to cut because you are throwing him off balance?

I don't mean to criticize, I just haven't seen many cutters ride like that.

^^^^First picture looks like she just got thrown forward accidentally. It happens. Them cuttin' horses move quick.

I definitely understand that. Still happens to me at times. But the other picture she posted on her previous thread shows her having the same seat.

No worries, I criticize my form in these pics as well :) This was my first year showing, so am still working towards having that ideal, relaxed cutting form. The pictures don't do justice as to how fast that horse is actually moving, and it takes a while to gain perfect balance in order to keep your bottom glued to the seat at all times...It is much harder than it looks! But yes, ideally, you want your shoulders hunched (sort of like you got punched in the stomach), and you want to stay seated in the saddle and sort of pushing on the horn. I know I don't have the greatest form in these pics, but just wanted to share them more so you could see how fun it is! :)

I'm a pleasure girl myself and when I do cutting that happens to me sometimes too. I have seen a few people actually show cutters like that. Makes you think they are about to fall off any second.

Your horse does look very cowy. If I were into cow work, I would want him for myself!
