Talking AQHA World and NRHA Futurity 2011

My drill team, The Freedom Riders Equestrian Drill Team, got the chance again to ride at the AQHA World Show and the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, OK. The rides went very well! For AQHA, we wore our theme drill outfits, we were Maiden Marion and Robin Hood (we added a boy this year to the team lol), and for the NRHA we wore pink bling shirts (except me and Derek, since he won't wear pink bling lol I had to wear pink plaid like him. But we matched good!) for the Wrangler Tough Enough To Wear Pink.
Here are links to our pictures:) I am the one with the flag on the grey horse(: Oh, and for the team, I had the entire headpeice and my hair stuffed into a black hat so I could present the colors of the National Anthem, then had two minutes to change into the whole get up for theme.

Ohmigosh I love that grey (Well both of them) It looks like a lot of fun! I have always wanted to do that, but there is nothing around here that does. I love the make-up everyone has on in the first link.

The grey with the flag is my 20 year old Rosie, and a girl is riding my 4 year old rose grey Sassy:)
Where do you live? You might be able to find some group through the United States Equestrian Drill Association.

Thanks!! She's really been enjoying her job, she's such a level headed horse (for the most part lol) and really does me proud. I am not sure if I will be able to do drill next year, I have spread myself thin doing lots of horsie things...:( I hope Rosie won't mind! I'll still be there for filling in and such, but I'd really like to get into more competitive stuff with my horses, maybe win scholarships and such since I will be going to college in 2012.
