Arrow bonding with his companion :)

Yesterday, I gave Arrow some supervised time with his companion, Sid Vicious the goat. Sid was my packgoat when I did 4-H, but never really had good pack goat conformation so he got retired from hiking and showing years ago. Unfortunately, his small herd of 2 goats were killed by a coyote or dog which also badly wounded him. His leg is all but healed now, and while I'm not sure he'll ever go hiking with me again, his quality of life is improving. He's back to running around and rearing and leaping. Because of his missing herd, I decided that he should start being kept out with Arrow, so he doesn't get lonely. Right now it's only for a few hours a day, and supervised because they're trying to get the pecking order all figured out.

Sid thinks Arrow is just a big goat.

annddddd a new classic photo of Arrow being Arrow.
