Thanks guys. Yeah she is doing great. I was like when mom said she rode her considering she is green as a grape... But Ashlee herself is doing much better riding wise since she matured enough to actualy listen to me and let me coach her a bit. She still needs work but all things considered, for my sister going from this ashlee newts.jpg Which was a few years ago to that picture is great progress.

    Green as a ...WHITE GRAPE?!

You know...since green grapes are actually called white grapes...

Sorry.. couldn't resist... I love grapes

    That's a big difference. She's looking good! You're a great coach!

Now how did you get your sister to listen to you? Whenever my brother would ride with me, he would refuse to listen to a thing I'd say and yank on my poor old man's mouth and beat on his sides, take off at a gallop the second he mounted with no warm up, and take off on trail rides when I was completely unprepared and then cuss me out when I tried to help him :( Nasty teenage boy he was! (thank goodness my mom agreed with me, she said he couldn't ride the horse anymore!)

You make them listen by making them hate their lives until they acquiesce to your commands hehehe.

No, I attached a lead rope to her horse Austin(sorrel in the second picture) every time she rode so she could not just take off and ignore me but had to stay right there with me and then nagged at her until she started sitting up, positioning her legs more appropriately, and let go of those darn reins.

I also made her ride without reins to develop her seat and posture better. I would just pony her off of Honey and only give them back when she straightened up and listened... I am a big meany.
