Bathtime and the following roll. o_O

It was awfully pretty yesterday, and I decided it was the perfect day for my ponies to get clean. Especially after I got them this, http://www.horseforum.com/horse-pict...o_o-its-50472/. Their faces were disgusting. Really, really disgusting.

Okay, enough talk. Pictures!

Ricci's dirty face, pre-bath.

Ricci all clean, grazing in the sun to dry. Somehow, when I was bathing Gracie, she managed to get stuck and knock herself over, effectively getting dirty all over again, so she got a sponge bath, lol.

I forgot to get a picture of Gracie, pre-bath, but I did get some pictures of her drowning in my cooler.

Does anyone else see her being Santa Claus next Halloween?

Then dinner time. Instead of making one pile of hay like usual, I pulled it apart and made about 15 little piles all over the pasture, hoping it would keep Ricci occupied long enough for her to forget she wanted to roll.

She was very mad about the hay placement. She walked around the about fifteen minutes, trying to decide which pile was the best one. And I wish the picture showed it, but her tail is BLINDING in the sunlight. I don't think I've ever gotten it this white before.

Gracie all clean. =]

She wants you to see her clean face.

Boy was she unhappy about the cleaning her face process though. How DARE I bring a wet sponge hear her face!?

She didn't think I was interesting anymore.

Then she got it in her head to look for a place to roll...

I tried to stop her, but she was going down!

Oh, it must have felt good to be so naughty.

Gotta get the back.

To be continued...

My favorite picture...

"What..?.. You can't possibly be mad when I'm so cute..."

All done and snorting the dust out of her nose.

And giving me the stink eye because I'm still following her around with the camera, lol.

I am happy to report that Gracie still looked pretty clean this morning. I'm sure it's part of the being a brown horse package. And I'm even happier to report that my scattered hay idea worked in keeping Ricci occupied. She was still blindingly white and shimmering black when I went to feed them breakfast this morning. =D

Sounds like a fun day! I know the feeling of expecting a filthy god awful horse and seeing a still clean one. I gave Tom his first bath the other day and even a few hours after I let him back in the pasture he was all sparkly! Made me so happy!

Aww, what a pretty horse Ktibb!!

Bad news. Ricci rolled. ::sighs mournfully:: I knew it wouldn't last forever, but still. And at least now she doesn't have a mane to get dirty along with the rest of her. =]

I agree! Stunning horse.

You got to hate it when they roll after you've just spent so much time cleaning them. So goes the horse life I guess eh. At least you got all the winter grungies out.

Aww thanks... she's not mine tho, she's my aunts.

Check out her "Before" pictures. The first was taken before my aunt bought her. The second was taken the week she came home. Her previous owners were FREE FEEDING her alfalfa and corn tortillas!!!! Oh, and have a look at her feet in picture #1!
