Before and after!

This is my rescue Tennessee Walker mare. She is still pretty scarred from soring, but her front legs have improved a lot. She's gained a TON of muscle that you can't really see in the pic. Harper is a full 17.2hh, and is the sweetest mare that I have ever met. I haven't ridden her yet, but she is longing over small jumps. I'm giving her little challenges to help her find her feet again because she has had the pads on so long.

This is her the day before she came home with me:

This is her yesterday:

The scar on her hip (small white/bald patch) is where she lay down because of the pain of her pads. She rubbed it raw because she was down for so long. Yes, that is my brother. She develops mystery flatulence whenever he's around .

She always has that look of "*sigh*" on her face around my dad. For size reference, he's 6'2". She has the most beautiful eyes!

She has no reason to be as sweet as she is, not a reason in the world to be that way. But I'm very lucky to have her. I wanted to share today!

Kudos to you for taking her in! She is one of the best looking TW's I've ever seen. Can't wait to see some shots of you riding her!

Thanks guys! I'm afraid it'll be a bit yet till I ride her, she is still trying to figure out exactly what all those legs are for. But the longer I wait, the more excited I get for it. But I will have a bazillion pictures of the first ride. Hopefully, they will be of me on her, not me in the process of hitting the ground. That's one long fall! I've fallen from my 16.2 guy once or twice, but she seems like a skyscraper next to him somehow.

Thanks so much guys! She looks very different than my other bay, that black mane and tail are gorgeous. Her tail is dragging the ground now, and I haven't even done anything to it! Her mane and tail are so soft they feel like human hair, it's amazing.
