The big ol buckskin

Decided to take a few pictures of Rio today. Her coat has really faded. At the beginning of summer it was really dark golden, now its golden in places lol. But she still has this glowing sheen to her, i cant explain it. The ranch hand that works here says she litteraly glows at times lol. The black gelding is her new buddy. Quite the size diffrence huh? Hes 15.2h, shes 16.2h. The last picture just makes me laugh. The one were her head is cut off, if you close you can see her dapples. I need to do some serious eye brow trimming on her.

She's huge!! I love her, love buckskins in general, always have. She's very pretty!! Great pics btw!!

I think she and her owner need to come spend some time in TX.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog:
