Blast from the Past Part 1

I've recently gotten some old photos scanned. A couple of my Tennessee Walker hosses from back in the teen age years and a couple of my puppeh and me when we were both younger. I've got some other fun ones to get scanned and I'll post them as they come.

Flame as a young girl. Well about 16-17. She sure was a pretty girl eh?

Here's one for comparison at 29 yo

Sin, RIP. Flame's half sister. She sure was a pain to ride, a total sweetie on the ground, but liked to blow up in the saddle. She died in the pasture, vet thought it likely a massive stroke.

This is Red RIP, Sin's full brother and Flame's half brother. He died almost two years ago, we put him down. Such a sweetheart on the ground and in the saddle. He loved to run and **** he was fast, we used to race the tractors on the road when we were young and dumb. One of those horses that would go wherever you pointed him without a question. He's the reason I absolutely love chestnuts/sorrels.

Here's one of my kitteh Cougar. It doesn't do him justice though he really was a pretty kitty. My parents gave him to me for my 10th bday. I put him to sleep Dec 27, 2007. Had him for over half my life.

Last but not least is Mo aka The Motorman. My parents gave him to me because he was bit in the head at 5.5 wks old. His skull was fractured and there was a chance he would seizure as an adult, so they couldn't sell him. My good luck there. Funny it was the dog I trained that bit him, I always say she picked him out for me.

The first pic is when we went to Vail, CO right after I got him. We slid down the mountainside (small part obviously). The next is the summer after when he was finally allowed out and about after having sugery for OCD on his shoulder. He finally learned to love swimming after that surgery. The last is when he was about 4 yo and we were cuddling on the couch at my old house.

Thanks SR, I love that pic of Mo and I. He's my baby boy.

I'm really glad that I took the pics of the horses when they were younger. That was about 15 yrs ago when I got my first camera. Sin was my Grandma's horse and for Christmas I wanted to give her a framed picture of Sin. I didn't have a lot of money, but I got some really nice photos.

Y'know, a really good picture in a nice frame of a beloved, now deceased horse (or dog) is a great gift.

One of my most cherished possessions is an oil painting a friend did of Conny in 2004. I lost him in 2007, and that picture of him hangs in my living room.

You can't go wrong with pictures, either real or painted.

That picture of you and Mo reminds me of my Lexi. She loves to lay all over me. I really wish I had a decent picture of her, especially now that she's getting on in years. 7 y/o is getting up there for a Great Dane.

Sounds like Mo, he always needs to be right on top of me. BUT he is very polite about it. I've trained him to "ask" before coming up. When I had him in the house he would come to the couch/chair/bed, sit, perk up his ears and whine once. If you told him "Alright Mo, up up" he'd jump up really carefully. Otherwise you just had to tell him "Quit begging" and he'd lay down.

I can hardly wait to move out of my parent's house again so I can have my Motorman in the house. We're going to cuddle like crazy. LOL
