Blue, my 5 year old paint x QH

This is my 5 year old paint x qh cross!! He is my first horse and I am absolutely obsessed with him!

The last picture is when I first got him and then him after 2 months <3

All he did was trails with his previous owner and had all winter off

His brain alone is worth more than I paid! He is proof you can find a gem on craigslist. I was looking for an OTTB mare and came home with him! Guess you never know what will happen unless you stay open minded. I recently found out he was starved as a foal. Makes spoiling him feel even more rewarding!

He is the best first horse I could have asked for. He is green but a "safe" green in the sense that he doesn't ever think of doing anything wrong undersaddle but needs work on balance/strength/stearing etc. His ground manners were far from desireable when I got him but he has gotten better already. I've learned a lot from him already and he seems to have learned a lot from me as well (hopefully he's as appreciative of this experience as I am :P)

Did I mention he LOVES to cuddle? When I first got him he wanted NOTHING to do with me and it was heartbreaking. I'm thinking he has trust issues due to his past. He went from moving away in the pasture when I tried to pet him to "HOLD MEEE"

I think because of this he is going to be a one person kind of horse. My friend rode him recently but I think his anxiety/trust problems would resurface if anyone were to work with him. Maybe I'm wrong, it'd be nice if I was...I plan on having him forever so I guess all in all it doesn't matter as long as we are both happy :)
