I got called up to join a team about a week ago so some younger girls could ride at Zone MG and maybe State.
It was the best weather we've had at this comp for years (I've been going for ten years!) but still very cold. It was icy and slippery in the mornings but got better as the sun came out.
I haven't done a ton of games on Bundy as he is a bit big and it's not what I bought him for - but he was a legend this weekend. Definitely some personal bests for us. It makes me miss games a bit - I did it full time for about 4 years and am stepping back a bit now, but it is such fun. The first few times I did games with him he went a little loopy - but this weekend he was great going real quick but staying calm and checking/stopping really well.
We did ok, got 5/6 state qualifying times out of ten, so we will be going to state at the same place in October. We need to teach the younger girls a bit of technique.
So, without further ado, some pics.
A lovely Bungendore morning. We poured boiling water in the horses ater bins to thaw them early Saturday morning - When we went back to saddle up about an hour later they were frozen again .
And then some pics from numerous races - Flag, Hi-Lo, Tack shop, 3 Mug.
