Bundy in his purdy summer coat.

Was just looking at my pics on my laptop that I don't use very often... Found this pic of Bundy a few months ago... I miss summer! Feel free to critique. I hate his bottle brush tail, lol.

Not much! In summer all our horses just get a small scoop of vitality plus to keep them friendly. It's got a bunch of stuff in it though, grains, chaff, pellets, nuts, molasses, minerals and vits.

Thanks! I love his summer coat... You can't really see it here, but he gets these gorgeous dapples. I think brown has got to be one of my favourite horsey colours :]

Iluvjunior, yep, thats my kelpie Skip.

His coat looks good.
Bundy's head and neck have the look of a TB. I like his hips and shoulders, he has a good looking angle on his shoulder. His muscle looks looks leaner and more endurance built than my native QH's.

A good cowboy always has a better horse at the end of the ride, a poor cowboy will be afoot reguardless of the horse.

He has more of a roman nose than the 'traditional' stockhorse head, which is a bit more refined with a wider forehead/wider set eyes.

He is more ASH like in the muscle department, as you mentioned. The QH's origin as a sprint bred racehorse has contributed to their huge muscle mass; Whereas the ASH was bred for long days droving and working stock, so they are more lean and endurance built but still have that capacity for agility.

when I saw the name of this thread my first thought was how did you get your summer coat through so early in the year lol. you can see the potential for dapples in his coat, it looks lovely. I can't wait to see what Lena's summer coat will look like, the ponies at my instructors place have started to shed out. Is that area where the photo was taken near western creek?
