Calgary Stampede*Heaven*

So I went to the Calgary Stampede yesterday, while on crutches for 8 hours!

Needless to say I can't even lift my arms today. The inside of my hands have blisters and I'm in agony with my shoulders. was a blast. I haven't had this much fun in a while. Courtesy of my mom who was very patient with my frequent sitting downs and holding on to my bag and my crutches as I hopped on one leg to take the photos...well I had a blast.

We one of the Budweiser heards they have circulating, even the dalmatian and I think I crutched myself at least 3 times in each heavy horse aisle they had. Visited with the stud of my new filly and said hello to the breeders who were hitching up their team.

Saw Clydes, a pair of Shires, Belgians and Percherons. All very gorgeous horses. Saw my first hitching and halter class as well. Let me tell you those classes are nothing like the light horse shows. You can feel those drafts trotting along the long side right into your seat So much fun. One of the classes they had was the 6 horse hitch which was fantastic to watch! they broke the class up so they could actually fit everyone. At the end they had 54 drafts standing in the middle of the ring?

ahhhh so much fun. If you guys ever had a local draft show, go for it. Go watch! they are a blast.

The end of the day finished up with a Percheron standing in the aisle when a handler walked by with a miniature. It was so funny.

Here is just a picture from the 247 photos I took. I have to watermark a lot of them before I post them. Enjoy!

Very cool! I love how they all have red halters and leads hanging on each stall door. It looks so nice.
