    Can't believe it's been a year!

I was sorting through Athena's file, yes she has a file, and
I just realized I've had her for a year now!
I 'purchased', I put it like that because I really got her for
    Free, on April 6, 2011!

The lady who had her before me had her out on 5 acres of rich
Grass, plus 24/7 round bale, plus 4 gallons of sweet feed a day, and she
Hardly ever worked with her, which was the reason she wanted to get
Rid of her. She came in over weight and while broke, she had still
    Had a lot to re-learn.

We've grown a lot closer since the beginning, especially now that
She's right out my back door without a pesky pasture mate.
She rides 10x's better than the first time I rode but she still has the same
Spunk! She's thought me a lot, not just about horses but about myself.

We've been through a lot together and she's helped through all of my
Problems. The four months I moved back to Arizona from Alabama, where I live now, it was hard being away from her, but I think she's forgiven me

    First day she came home
, she was so chubby ^^

Our first ride, she came with a hackamore that she absolutely hated!

    Taken some time in June

That's all of the photos I have from April-July 2011, then I moved back to Arizona, then back to Alabama in Dec. That's when I really started working with her and I started to see her change.

She's put up with a lot

Back in Jan, still a little chubby!

First photo I took when she moved to the house I'm in now, I live with my grand parents.

She's a little odd when it comes to water, she better not see a small puddle, but a pond? Ehh no biggy

When she started shedding out this Spring.

Two days ago, this how she feels about going on rides.

    From yesterday, ain't she purdy?

I couldn't have asked for a better horse, I love you Athena <3
