Yay! I brought Diesel home today!!! He has settled in nicely with my two others. I have two Appy weanlings that are 6 months old, and they are all three just the best of friends already. They are currently together, and doing good. I took ALOT of pictures, and will upload them tomorrow.
I am going to let him settle in tomorrow, and ride him Tuesday. He needs alot of exercise as he is fat fat fat. Lol.
I will add the pictures tomorrow!!!

I didn't get any good pictures today because my camera batteries died like 5 minutes into taking pictures!!!! :(

Anyways, today I really got to see what Diesel is like, for the most part. I worked him in the round pen a little bit and he is almost impossible to join up with!

Well after the round pen work, I took him in the barn to groom him a little bit. I also decided to tack him up just to see how he reacted. He was a little nervous when he first came in the barn and was a little pushy, but calmed down quickly. That's one thing we need to work on. When he is nervous, he gets really pushy with his handler.

Well first I brought out my bareback pad, no problem there. Then came the saddle. He eyed it nervously, but didn't blink an eye when I went to put it on. Then I brought out the bridle and attempted to put it on. I was real careful not to hit his teeth, but he still didn't like it. It took about 5 minutes to get the bridle on and bit in his mouth. After I got it on, he just sat and played with the bit until I took it off. I can't ride in the saddle until my new girth comes, so for now it's just ground work or bareback riding.

Well I will keep everyone updated as I get to work with him more!

The ringworm is all gone in my babies now! The spots where the ringworm was, has hair again now. The barn has been disinfected in case that's where they got it.

Orange is my favorite color, that's why I bought it for him. I originally thought it was orange, yellow, and black. But when it came, it turned out to be orange, yellow, purple, pink and lime green. Nice range of colors! His new saddle pad is orange too :)
