Dobe showing off new tack.

So I got a couple of things from a horsey store on the net and they just came in yesterday. I got a blue mecate rein for my soft hackamore that I have been riding Dobe in and a set of yacht rope sport reins for my snaffle. Just thought I would share some pix of Dobe in his new get-up.

Oh, I forgot, that is my new pulling breast collar too.

Silly guy, every time I would get too far away, he would try to follow me. I need to work on his ground tie LOL.

Thinking I wouldn't notice that he was slowly creeping toward the grass.

I thought I had some pix of after I adjusted it. The noseband was a little tight initially, so I had to kinda ghetto-rig the fiador knot to give me more room in the nose. It is much better now.

Anyway, here is the sport reins and snaffle. These pix were after we had already been for a pretty long ride.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog:

Love the blue! He's such a cutie too. Sneaking towards the grass... typical. Did he give you the "What? I'm not doing anything..." look?
