Ok, so I got Dozer in March or April. Wanna know how I found this beastie? I went with a friend to go look at this baby that a mare she rides just had. I was more interested in Dozer than the baby and the lady jokingly said I could have him. I told her I gotta sell my horse(was already trying to sell him and looking for a replacement) and I would come back with the money. The morning Tater's new owners came and picked him up was the morning I showed my Mom and aunt(she's the horse-y adult in the family) They didn't believe me when they saw the pictures I had taken of him the first time I saw him and I told them how huge he was. They fell for him just like I knew they would and that day he was in my backyard :).
His training has come so far in these nine months I've had him. He use to not be able to stay on the rail no matter his speed, he would change gaits often and run away with people, he would run up and down hills on trails not caring if he ran right through a bunch of other horses. Now, he backs up with the word back, leg cues, or hand cues. He will go whatever gait I ask and stick to the fence. He learned a trick I made up that I like to call hug, and we jump, barrel race, and trail ride. He has a buddy that he loves so much and if anything he is a little chubby now. I'll make him work it off, don't worry.
Now onto the pictures!
The first one is the first day I got him. The rest are all in chronological order up to yesterday. Enjoy!
