I haven't introduced Dream, Starlite or myself yet. I keep telling myself I'll get around to it...someday I will! Until then, here's pictures of the girls!

Dream is my mom's mare and Starlite is mine, but we kind of 'share' horses...well not really, we just consider both of them ours. Plus my mom pays for them both so I guess they're both HERS but we agree Starlite's mine as she was my car for my 16th birthday LOL

Dream is a 24 year old Morgan mare, she used to be extremely aggressive when my mom first met her. She was given away to my mom's friend because she was "old and a b*tch", clearly that was not the case. It was quite obvious she had been abused and she decided not to take it, everyone tried to "be boss!" approach and soon realized Dream would die fighting them before she would ever THINK about giving in, so my mom started working with her. She used a reward system, it worked great! Then my mom got injured and couldn't see her for a while and she was aggressive again, not half as bad as before...but not good obviously. That was a year ago, she is still aggressive now but is improving, it's been a trial and error kind of thing (the reward system won't do the trick this time) and she's already doing well. My mom likes to mainly trail ride on her, she does some light arena work with her too. When I ride her I'll do w/t/c or play around with barrels with her. She has arthritis so she is limited...but don't tell her that!! Last winter we thought she'd never have a day where she wasn't lame, this winter she's had two lame days. She's doing pretty well I'd say! Here she is (PLEASE NOTE: These pictures will go in order from a few years ago until now, I am very aware that Dream is and has always been overweight. She was 1200lbs last winter, she's just 1100lbs this winter and gets down to 1000 lbs in summer. I get enough reminders about how overweight she is, so please don't harp on it. I'm sorry if I sound rude, I don't mean to be!)

^ I love that picture of her, it's definately one of my favorites.

^ First time standing on her, you can tell she was sooo phased by it! LOL

^ Keeping up with my crazy 9 yo like it's nothing! (which is more than I can say for some young horses...LOL!)

^ This one was too funny not to post, but I think it was probably a "you had to be there" moment. Dream hates dogs. HATES them, we found out by her charging one on a trail ride...so I got nervous when the turkey/rooster came near her for some of her water so I kept calling "Dreammmmy, Dreamer! DREAM!!!" because I didn't want her to do anything to them LOL. She probably wouldn't have anyway, she likes cats...dogs are just plain evil apparently.

^ She used to be very antisocial and would avoid people, so I like that this picture shows she's more interested in what people are doing than avoiding them!

She's a snow horse, she LOVES it.

Sorry for the overload, those are the pictures of her from the past few years. I have MANY more and it's very hard for me to limit them down, you'll find out in time that I can't control myself sometimes when it comes to posting pics of my girls.

Starlite is a 9 year old Standardbred/Quarter Horse mare. We had the opportunity of working with her for a few months before deciding to buy her as the man needed to sell her by winter, she sat for a year and needed time undersaddle. She was VERY hot due to how she was ridden (galloped on trails for years) and was way too much for me (I was a beginner rider). My mom rode her for about a month and a half, then I finally started riding her. She was still very hot. She jigged and galloped, that was apparently all she knew. I decided I wanted her because she was so sweet (BAD idea, I know! I wasn't smart enough at the time to realize it, but it worked out) Anyway, after a year of fighting with her and being so frustrated I finally accepted all of our problems mainly came from me, since then we've been improving tremendous amounts. Shes got a solid w/t and whoa, her canter needs work. She is started in jumping, barrel racing, pole bending (which she LOVES), trail courses and started ground driving her in hopes to get her driving, I also do alot of trail riding with her...surprisingly she ended up being a great trail horse LOL! I'm so glad I ended up getting her, she truly is an amazing mare. She has a great attitude and can put up with alot, the fact she never tried to buck me off is a MIRACLE. She's extremely willing, she's just everything I would want in a horse.

I'm afraid to say I might share some more pics of them.... I'm sorry! LOL I wonder if there's a certain amount of pictures you're allowed to post per thread...uh oh. :X

Here are just some more pictures, I forgot I had another album of pictures of them from Christmas things

And a few from after a big trail ride...Starlite might look tired from being very excited the whole ride due to all the other horses LOL.

And we didn't realize until half way through the trail ride, Starlite's son was there!! She was bred to a Mustang :)shock:) and this is what the result was. We actually tried him before Starlite but he was Starlite's crazy hot self + bucking so it was a definate no!
Here she is with her baby boy...

Okay, I might finally be done. LOL I wonder how many people will actually look through ALL those pics. Sorry for so many guys! And I guess this ended up turning into an introduction thread, for them anyway LOL I'll intorduce myself at a later time!
