Starlite misbehaved quite a bit for the farrier, which is unlike her. She kept pulling her back left away from him and moving forward, but she was fine for the rest of it. I think the big barn door being open and her being in all the time was part of it, she seemed excited about everything happening outside. The farrier said he thought she was stiff in that leg. But then again...she's in all the time, so I can't say I'm shocked.
Dream was pretty good. He had one of those hoof stands and Dream's yet to be introduced to them, so today was her first. It didn't go so well, one of Dream's front legs she stretches waaaay out whenever you try to pick it up. Not to be a brat, just because it hurts (she has arthritis) so our usual farrier holds it lower. She ended up walking (er...hopping?) backwards on her back legs. Luckily for us, this farrier has a horse worse than Dream and made a special lower hoof stand, so he used that on Dream and it went pretty well from then on!
Anyway moving on to the pictures! Dream's looking 'plumpy' as always and I think I REALLY like where Starlite's weight is at, for once!
She grows quite a winter coat..considering she's blanketed, LOL!
Doesn't she look so tired? Getting hooves trimmed and a nice long roll will do that to ya!
All ready to go back in her stall for her yummies! (I don't usually have her lead like that, she just needed to be blanketed and put back)
