Dudel Boy <3

Well..thought I might as well finally make a post for my baaby. <3
A little bio thing would probably be nice, yes?

Name: Dude (aka Dudel Boy or Dudels)
Age: around 9, not positive
Height: aobut 16.1 hh
Sex: gelding
Colour: Chestnut (sabino?) w. Flaxen
Breed: Clydestale x Paint

So, he's not mine, sadly. I'm not leasing him either, but I get to ride him in turn for helping out around the barn.
He's not the best trained horse, he still has some issues working alone, rearing, etc.
We're working on getting him into gaming, he's learning the barrel pattern now, and he's been to his first few shows. Still have to work on the showmanship stuff too..with both of us, and his leaser. We're both rather bad at it, lol.
When I first came to this barn, he'd try to bite me when I walked past, come at me in the field, smash me into the wall while I was grooming him, etc etc. ;-; But now-he respects me, even though he occasionally has his little fits (under saddle, he's an angel for me on the ground compared to what he usually does) and he's fallen asleep on my shoulder.
So, I consider him my baby, even though he's not a baby. :p
I would probably pay double what he's really worth considering his training if I had the money.

this past winter, he was in the small indoor since he had a stomach ache.

out in the field. :3 I was leaning on him before this talking to some friends.

same as above, his back isn't really that long..

I have no clue if you'd call that a bald face, or what..I've been curious. lol

we were trying on halters the night before to see which one we were taking for his showmanship class. decided the shiney, silver one looked best for him, even if it was a tad too small and needed more holes.

Thanks paintluver.
His face is one of my favourite parts too.

So..we went to Brady's Run and worked the horses in the arena on the gaming patterns while Mendi gave her lessons. I believe there are some videos of me and Dude running barrels, but not positive. Hopefully I'll be able to see them when I sleep over Mendi's friday night. :)
But after we got home Drew and I ended up walking almost a mile to herd a cow back to it's farm, ended up getting it in a pen by the guy's chicken coop and he said thanks, and had his son drive us back to Mendi's. He was actually kinda cute. :p
So I ended up tossin' Dude out in the round pen when we got back so that I could get pics of him. :)
We rinsed the horses off before we loaded them and took them home, so he actually looks pretty clean. xD
And sorry if this is huge on anyone's screen...I do apologize D:

I just started walking around and taking quick pictures (they ended up decent) because my batteries were dying. ;;

Not really happy with this one..I only like the grass and his head xD

He looks really wierd/awkward in this one... o.O

Just walking..I think I may use this one for a ref sometime..

I really need to do something to fix this one up..
I liked his pose, but I didn't even try to get the lighting right for fear I would miss it D:

I ended up catching him right after he was done peeing xD
thought it looked kinda cute though. :p

Thought his face looked cute. :p

His face looks rather awkward in this one, IMO. :3
But I think it's cute, nonetheless.

I liked how shiney his coat was. :p

Thought it was pretty cute, not the best picture though. *shrugs*

Loved the pose, horrible picture though. It's really washed out and not really focused right.

This is probably my favourite out of all of them. <3

I finally got action shots of Dude yesterday. (:
We made dreamcatchers in the morning, went out to ride (got attitude since Brent let Dude get away with -everything- at the show on sunday), watched videos from the show, then went up to the round pen with Toby, took pictures, and then finally took Dude up and lunged him while I took pictures. He did kick a few times..but they weren't directed towards me, so he's kinda lucky. >.>
And it's nice to know he can canter in the pen, now I won't just trot him since I figured he wasn't collected enough to canter that small. <.<
But anywho-pictures from yesterday:

I think this one was right before he kicked at the whip.
