A few recent shots from around home of Emir (12 year old SE Arab gelding) and Gitana (10 month old Paso Fino x Andalusian filly). Gitana is still in mid-shed, pretty awkward, but her summer coat is coming in a lovely rich colour.
YES! It's so nice to have them in together. They are rather in love now. I had them separated by electric wire for a few months and then it came down a few months ago, it's been completely fine ever since.
Thanks again for the support when she first arrived, I've had similar things with my dogs where they don't get along to begin with and my mind goes to worst case scenario "this is never going to work, what am I going to doooooo" kind of thing. I should know by now that things just take time sometimes It all works out in the end.
I think it's partly the overall cool tones of the picture and the bold contrast in the lights and darks. In this case too you have some beautiful forest to use as a background and that helps a lot.
Took some more photos of the ponies over the past few days (surprise surprise, I'm just a tad obsessed with taking horse pictures these days!). I figured I'd just add them to this thread instead of starting a new one!
She sure is a pretty little thing! And I do love Emir as well!!
(PS, I was the weirdo who commented on your post in Paso Fino R & R :lol
