The Fan

We bought the girls a fan yesterday. After the initial "what the heck is that" reaction, they decided it was pretty "cool"
Now they tussle to see who gets to stand in front
We are letting them stay in off the pasture in the heat of the day. Its been just miserable in the upper 90's low 100's with no relief in sight. Its fun to watch them. One will go out for a bite of hay, come back in and stick their face toward the fan.

They do seem to love the fan

That is too adorable! I'm glad they are enjoying the nice breeze. Although it looks like Saro may become a fan hog.

I would have loved to have seen a video of them checking out the fan for the first time.

If one of them spends to much time in front of it blocking the breeze the others will get mad and push them out of the way. I went out earlier and they were all standing side by side, faces to the fan of course by the time I got there with the camera they had moved

we have a few of those fans sitting in the middle of the barn. after i'm done cleaning stalls, i stand with the other horses and cool myself down. it reached 90 degrees here the past few days with absolutely no breeze. it's been miserable for human and horses
