Great pics and thanks for sharing!

Just a note, if you use a Full Cheek, make sure you use the Keepers - they are cheap to buy. The reason being is because the Full Cheek is designed to sit in the horses mouth a particular way, and that is accomplished with the keepers as the bit was intended to be used with. Without the keepers, the bit rests in the horses mouth incorrectly. Also, the Keepers are a safety thing, keeping the full cheek in place so that the bars have less chance to get caught up on objects.

Glad your ride was great, your boy is adorable! Love the deer picture!

Thanks for letting me know about the Full Cheek, I'm sure I can get the keepers at the tack store right? I'll make sure to check right now.

The deer are incredible out there. They are HUGE and they are everywhere!

You absolutely can get the keepers at a tack store. You can find them on doversaddlery.com, or smartpakequine.com - they are inexpensive as well.

And you are welcome :) I look forward to more pics of the two of you!

It's terrible with all the bugs but other than that gorgeous. I don't like all the deer though, beau hates them!

Thanks MIEventer!! I keep forgetting to buy the keepers but I'm going to buy them this week. :)

I have a show next month and I definitely have to take some pictures there, they have a costume class and I don't want to dress him or me up because I'm 21 and don't want to look like a fool but honestly I think he would look so darn cute that I'm so tempted to do it. I'll definitely get some good pics and share :)

However I was at the barn today and got some decent pictures!

him in his new breakaway halter :) it's bright but i love it. The lead came with it and it was only $19.95

I also have this photo in color but it looks so much better in black & white

As you can probably see, he has a very "i want whatever treat you have in your hand and will be cute to get it" personality lately :) The whole nose thing was because I had a treat in my hand and I wanted a nose picture, well I got it alright
