Finally pics of me riding Candi with the new trainer!

Hey eeryone..
Well Here we are!
While the pics are not the greatest I finally have some. I picked the ones that were the most focused!
Candi is doing well. We cantered yesterday which was so wonderful. The only other times i have cantered her under saddle were when she offered it up.
This time.....she was asked to canter and off we went!

Today we worked on trot poles and my position.

Hehe...from dressage to hunters....oh boy. I thought I was going to be sticking with the dressage for a while but things happen and now we are changing diciplines for a while...

I think you two look FANTABULOUS! I am so proud of the two of you, and this change could not of come at a better time. Look at how far the two of you have gone already, in such a short period of time. I think Candi is really enjoying herself.

Look at you Missy! WOOT WOOT!

Wow, the two of you look amazing together!! Looks like you had a ton of fun.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog:

Awww thanks Everyone.

Candi and i are both excited. Believe me I love dressage and what not bu the old trainer wasn't cuttin it. Candi and I can go back to that later but for now this is what is working for her so I will stick with it.

The trainer feels she is learning quickly! I am hoping that I will get to show her at least one time this summer and the trainer feels it will happen if she comtinues to progress this way!

I always have known she is a smart horse and willing to work hard, but she was realy being held back from her potential with the other person.

This is a horse who needs a lot of warm up in order to focus and listen other wise she gets an attitude. This trainer is the only one who has been able to see this and address it properly.

So we march on... I just didnt want to be riding in the hunter ring this summer but at this point it isnt so much about what I want as it is about what my horse needs....

I will miss her tomorrow when I go to work!

Oh I love Candi pics! She's such a stunning horse.
You guys look so good! I'm glad you've found a trainer that recognizes what she needs and actually does something about it.

Thanks Amir
Yeah this trainer has a lot of experience with TB's and OTTB's! She gets them totally.
I feel so much better about everything now! At one point with the other trainer I was begining to question my own knowledge but now I know that what I was feeling needed to be done was totally right on the mark.

Candi will be good at what ever she does, but for now I feel if this works for her then we continue to do it until I feel it is time to re-introduce her to the dressage again.

It jusst tickles me to death that I can ask....I said "ask" her to canter and she does....and then we can canter on! This is something that I knew needed to be happening a long time ago but the other trainer was so scared that she wouldn't canter the horse!

What ever...we are on the right track now!
