First new foal of the year

One of two due this year at Tanbark Acres. Not my mare, not my foal, but I still get so excited to see how they turn out every year! Even though he looks lovey-dovey in the video, apparently he has gained enough strength to be a little fireball today and wants nothing to do with people :P Hopefully, I'll get to go visit him this weekend.

He's so pretty! I absolutely LOVE Friesians and hope to have one of my own one day.

I did indeed go visit him today. They've named him Beau, and he really is a sweetheart :) His coat is an unusual color...all of Hiltje's other foals have been pitch black at birth, but he's sort of a pewter gray, almost looks like a grulla.

Oh my goodness! He looks like the sweetest thing in the entire world!

I actually really like his coloring. It makes him very unique :)

Hehe, yeah, I kind of like the color myself. Won't last, but at least I get to enjoy it for a couple of months!
