Today we got our first real snow of the winter, which is REALLY late for Wisconsin. We have had an abnormally warm winter with temps regularly in the 40's. This past week has all been in the 50's which is close to breaking the record high for January here. By now we have usually had 7-20 inches of snow. However, I think it tried to make up for it by snowing 5 inches today and it is still snowing! Lol, at least we are used to that kind of snow around here.
They have a perfectly good barn to go in, but do you think they do? Nope. They are content just to stand outside and get snowed on. 2 years ago we had -40F windchill and they were having fun running around in the snow like it was 30F. They get such thick winter coats that they don't really ever go inside unless we get a freezing rain. Crazy horses
