First Winter Trail Ride, WOOT!

Haha, well I guess that's not true, our first "official" ride was last night (and also Jynxy's FIRST bareback trail ride!) but me and Ashley rode in the dark for like 15 minutes, froze, got scared of the spooky trees and went home like sissies.

I went out with my riding friends today and it was awesome! Jynxy has finally gained enough weight to be half decently comfortable bareback which is practically a necessity with our winters - today alone it's -20 with the windchill! I *almost* came off her, I can't believe I stayed on, I had the end of the reins in one hand and the camera in the other, and she jumped to the side and she always waits for me to reassure her but instead I CLAMPED my boot into her ribcage because I had nothing to grab and that spooked her even more! Haha, she jumped again, I managed to scramble back with my seat and the dear sweetheart stopped dead for me!

Anyway, enjoy!

My friends!

Jynxy ears!

Sister shot!

LOL we were circling for a pic, it looks so funny

YAY! So much fun!

Bandit loves to chew on Jynx, LOL

Jynxy in her new blankie!

PAINTS IN PLAID!

I love riding with friends on horses in winter!!!!!! I was laughing with my friend that we were die hards about riding because it was snowing when we went and we did it anyway :)

Yeah, um....brrr LOL. Great pictures, it looks like Jynxy took right to bareback.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Looks like it was a blast! Love the photo of Bandit chewing on Jynx, looks like he doesn't mind at all.
I'm also quite envious of all your snow, send some down to NY!
