Hehe, yeah, the snow was fun but I didn't much miss the cold! I forgot my actual gloves and was riding in these wimpy little finger gloves and my hands were totally numb by the time we got back. It's crazy when it gets this cold, your brain doesn't even register it - your legs just become pins and needles and all you can really feel is a dull pain as opposed to being "cold". The cold comes AFTER when you start to warm up! Hence the almost NEEDING to ride bareback in winter - it keeps SOME small part of you warm!

Yeah, Jynxy and Bandit are pretty good pals! They're both 3 years old, so they tend to enjoy each others company, although being a gelding Bandit tends to be a LOT more playful then Jynxy wants to put up with!

Cute!! :) I'm waiting for the snow here in Ohio...end of November and it's only snowed once and it didn't stick...strange, I'm used to there being snow on the ground by now! It's actually supposed to be 50 today!! Geez heat wave! ;)

I actually had gotten some pics of her in the arena, but they all turned out stupid because she wouldn't stop crawling on top of me. I'll be working with her today, I'll get some pics!

I went for my first winter trail ride....its been about 10 yrs. And this horse has a lil extra "horse Power"...hee-hee!!!! Unfortunately where my horse is boarded is next to a highway and the trails we ride on is about a 1/2 mile up the highway. Probably not much winter riding for us!!!

Sorry, no Zierra pics today! Although Jynx REALLY pulled through! We were about 2km out on the trail when my sister called and reminded me about her scarification appointment! I TOTALLY forgot and I had an hour and 20 minutes to get there! We were bareback, and started trotting back and they were doing great so I let Jynxy break into a canter and OH MY DEAR GOD.

I can never ride an Arab again I have never been on such an effortless, smooth and fluid ride! I wanted to lope forever! She was a complete angel, last winter she would stop dead and start crow hopping if you asked for the canter!

Anyway, I made it in the nick of time and SO proud of my girl! Have to work with Zierra next time!

LOL, gotta love those smooth stock horse gaits . Who was talking heat waves? It was very nice here today, had a high of 78 . Only bad part was the wind that blew about 30 mph.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

More pics! We went out on Sunday it was absolutely GORGEOUS out - we had another massive dump of snow, but it was so fluffy and quiet and warm out, it was one of the best rides I've ever had! Jynx was a champ as usual!

Justus ears!

Jynxy face!

LMAO, awkward angle

I like this one for some reason

Riding along

Me and Jynxy, YAY!

Cute pic

Shay-la and Justus in a Winter Wonderland!

LMAO, she's going to be flinstoning it on pony if she grows anymore!!

Jynxy noming my boot

They also encountered their VERY first cross country skiers - Jynx took a hard look, but Justus was actually more nervous about them! Both did excellent though!
