Flicka

Thought I would post some updated pics of my cutie pie, Flicka. She has come a long ways in the short time I've had her; She no longer runs away from me, is fantastic on the ground, is learning how to bow and put her front feet on a step, is able to be ridden, and is absolutely spoiled, haha.






Looking absolutely bored...grooming was a 'scarey' event for her before, now she just falls asleep, and tries to drool on my back when I handle her front feet...Lol!






After 20 odd year's I've never blanketed, or had a sheet on for more than a few hours at a time, but Ms. Flicka hates when the wind pelts her with sand (and other flying particles!), and walks around with her ears back, eyes squinted, and tail tucked...she looks pathetic; so one windy day I threw a water proof sheet on her, and she practically shoved her head into her face mask...Lol! She seemed much happier once her gear was on!

Haha...yeah, she's a 'momma's girl' already...she always gives hubby weird looks, and tries to stay as far away from him as she can when we walk together...Lol! She lets him handle her, but she's not extremely comfortable with it yet! Haha. A couple of our students are able to handle her (on the ground) without too much trouble either (she's very soft, and willing), but you can tell she's like "um...what's going on here?"
