Talking Georgie the Donkey!

We decided to tack up Georgie, our almost year old mini x standard donkey today! We bought him a little saddle and he also has a headstall but we just let him wear a halter so he could graze. He did so good! He followed us around when we lead him... he's come along so far since we got him! Next up: trailer loading I recently shaved him because it's getting into the triple digits here and he hadn't shed his winter coat or his baby fur, and coarse black hair started growing on his body but not on his head or neck until recently so he looks a little ridiculous. Without further ado: Georgie! Enjoy the pics!

The cute little thing has a saddle! Do you guys ride it? Or is it in training?

He's just in training, but my little brother does sit on his back :) Donkeys really aren't supposed to be ridden until 4 or 5ish but what damage is a little 2 year old going to do? ;)

He's adorable!

"Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
