Yay Roperchick, you did it
So neat to see such loved, cared-for horses... here's our 'geriatric' gang of two...
Danny Boy - age 22 years and Persil Beaucoup who we know know is at LEAST 22years. I include photos of them doing something as well as standing so you know they are still extremely active
Both were rescues - Danny (the grey) has a history of laminitis that has not reared its ugly head since he came to us 4 years ago and we started feeding salt and ProvideIt Vits and Mins etc (ProvideIt Vitamin Mineral mixes for horses. - can't say enough about this website and its advice)
Persil just keeps getting better and better healthwise thanks also to the above products. Unfortunately due to past abuse and being broken in and playing polo FAR TOO YOUNG, he has arthritis now so is retired and about to become an 'Uncle'.
Here's a few. The first one is my first horse, Chancy, he was 32 when the photo was taken. He passed away quite a few years ago at the age of 42!
The others are of Odie. He's 21 now, and I've had him since he was 3. He was in retirement for awhile due to arthritis, but now my daughter is starting to ride him huntseat, so it's back to work for him. Just with lots of arthritis meds and linament But he's happy to have a job again.
"Just because I don't do things your way, doesn't mean I don't have a clue"
This is my old man, Marquis. He is 22yrs old and I have had him for almost 5yrs now. He has not been riding sound for many years, since before I got him so I have never been on him. These pictures are from yesterday :)
