Hello. I recently decided I wanted a commissioned painting of my boy. He's my first official horse (registered in my name), and first horse I broke. He holds a very special place in my heart. So I got a hold of my aunt, who is a fabulous sculptor and painter and I will be getting a painting of him! YIPPEE!
As I got looking through pictures of him, I realized I don't have to many I REALLY like. He has never been very graceful or photogenic and there's always something small I don't like about his pics, so I decided to get some myself.
So the sun finally came out this Saturday and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get him all purty and snap some glamour shots. I also wanted that to be done before he gets any fuzzier.
So without further adieu, here are my favorite shots out of about 70. I am NO photographer and forgot to pay attention to my lighting and background... but where they're going to be a painting, I assume that can easily be "photo-shopped" ;-)
I also wish I had taken his lead off.. I had no one to hold it and it just looks stupid laying there, and a little unsafe... woops, what's done is done.
My favorite head-shot of him was of course after I put him away and he rolled in the mud. "Yuck! I hate being pretty!"
My Mother-in-Law thinks I should get this one painted. She had bird dogs and likes his impression of a pointer haha
I'm a little torn on which pic to use. He's never looked better! But I think that first is my favorite.
