We got in two new rescues this past Saturday at the ranch. They are half-brothers and absolutly stunning!
Now I can't really say too much for confidentiality but I can tell you as much as I can.
When they were 6 months old they came to the rescue from a PMU farm in Canada that had shut down. They got adopted, along with 3 others, from a lady, this was 3 years ago. At that time she had a very nice property and she had the finacial needs she needed to keep 5 horses. Well a month ago the owner of the ranch got a call from our trainer saying she went out to visit the lady and things weren't looking good. In the past year she obtained 7 more horses and she had 2 others die, none of which she had gotten from the ranch, she had also obtained 30 something dogs, 20 something cats, and 20 something goats. She had lost her buisness and she had to sell soda cans to feed her horses and other animals. Her fencing had broke so she decided to put up a portable panel, with no t-post, to keep her 12 draft horses in. Well the horses got out of the fence and got into her bird feed! Luckily none of them coliced but the owner of the rescue heard enough and has decided to help her out. We picked them up Saturday and they have settled in quit nicely. They have great personalities and I just love them. Once we get them adopted out, which I'm pretty sure they will be taken soon, we're going to take in two more.
These two are just too funny. They play like their studs and they just love people. They are very very pushy but we're working on it. I'm pretty sure you want to see pics of these two so I'll let you wait no longer.
