Growing up Sparta

Some of you may remember Sparta, and some of you may not have heard his story.

In December of 2009 me an another girl went in half on a 30 year old appaloosa that was pregnant, they originally wanted 350 for her but we ended up only having to pay 250. So I paid 125$ and the other girl paid 125$ I had complete care of snowflake until the baby was born, and then care moved to her owner.

Sparta was born on March 9th, 2010. Just 3 days before my birthday! <3! Anyway he was the best colt anyone could ask for. Super laid back and willing and quick to learn. He finally dropped completely around 14 months old and he was gelded. Anyway he's now almost 28 months old, (2 years and 4 months) and has had about 4 rides him. Unfortunately he over reaches quite badly and has to wear boots when we do ride. I am probably going to put about 4 more rides on him and leave him until his 3 year old year, and then we will start his real training.

Anywhere here are some of his photos from birth to now.
Here he is at minutes old

About 1 day old

3 days old

Halter for the first time at 3 days old

At 2 weeks

Almost a month

Month and a half

Almost 2 months

2 months and a week

2 months and 2 weeks

Almost 3 months. He went for a swim in the lake lol

He is an Appaloosa crossed with QH, and he has 3 other full siblings that I know of.

Yeah finally he is beginning to look like a horse, he went through some really fugly stages, where he had a giant looking belly, even though the vet said he wasn't wormy. Im happy with how he is turning out now.
